Sonia’s life story is unique and amazing! Her new book follows the trajectory of her life, from her childhood and adolescence in China during the Cultural Revolution to her immigration to the US and eventually becoming a practicing polyamorist. The book tells the incredible evolution of her life through her education and career, surviving an abusive marriage, raising children, and immigrating to the US to escape oppression in China. She lovingly tells the story of her subsequent poly marriages in the US and her philosophy of life, filled with wisdom and lessons learned.

While there have been many books written on polyamory over the past 20 years, this is the first ever written by an immigrant to the US, and the rare voice of a polyamorist raised in a very different culture. The book covers more than half a century of history in China and the US, describing how these two vastly different worlds shaped her way of thinking and her most important life choices.

No matter how much you know about polyamory, you are sure to learn a lot from Sonia’s unique life experience and her broad perspective.
